The Building Department permits and inspects construction activities in Suwannee County to help protect the life, health, and property of our community. The Department is responsible for reviewing building plans and specifications to ensure compliance with adopted building codes and structural safety standards, as well as issuing building permits.

On October 5, 2021 The Suwannee County Board Of County Commissioners Unanimously Voted To Increase The Driveway Permit Fee To $50 Effective October 11, 2021

Attention Mobile Home Installers And Owners

Any Mobile Home Permit Issued After 5/1/2022 Will Require The Pad To Be Inspected Before Installation Of The Mobile Home
Failure To Have A Pad Inspection Could Result In The Mobile Home Being Removed
